I have enjoyed my three stays at B&B Fam. Mieremet over the years. I find it a good value at a great location. Erik is a quiet man and a responsible host. We have benefited from his knowledge and advice.||I have stayed in the downstairs garden room. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom and bath clean. I love the little enclosed garden the room looks out over but it’s important to close the casement windows before dark so the mosquitoes don’t get in.|| I would definitely stay at B&B Fam. Mieremet next time I am in Gouda.

Bed & Breakfast in einem alten Haus. Viel Komfort oder zeitgenössischen Luxus sollte man nicht erwarten. Die Toilette ist im Flur und die Dusche teilt man sich auch mit den Gastgebern. Doch man bekommt bequeme Betten und einen warmen und freundlichen Empfang von umsichtigen und sauberen Gastgebern. Zu Fuß ist man schnell im Zentrum von Gouda.
Es war in netter Aufenthalt, den auch meine Kinder sehr genossen haben.

Eine gute Übernachtung in Gouda. Citynah und sauber. Neu gemachtes Badezimmer, bodenständiges Frühstück ohne viel Schnickschnack und freundlicher Empfang.
Zimmer und Betten waren okay.

This bed and breakfast is very strange: it is more as though you are just staying in the owner's house (which is in principle the idea behind a b+b, but here you get to share the shower and toilet with the owners, and eat in their breakfast room - the overall impression being that you are there as a slight but necessary inconvenience). There is almost no effort made in welcoming guests and breakfast is very very sparse (two pieces of bread, ONE slice of cheese and ONE slice of ham, tea or coffee and some juice). It seems that this is just something the owners do for an additional income. Although the linen is clean, and it is in a good location for Gouda, this is a place I would only recommend for a quick stay. If you don't expect much else, you won't be disappointed!

So we had booked and I should really paid attention to the other postings, yes it was creepy, unsmiling host, everything that was mentioned by others was true! I really wanted to try to make it work, but the toilet was outside of the room and the sink and shower was connected to the kitchen, it wasn't really clean and I have stayed in B&B's before but this was the worst. I later found out that many people leave after the first night or sooner. It would be fine for a couple of young men but not women traveling alone.

Arrived without booking late one evening during the fair. Pleased not to be reduced to the Best Western across the canal. €60 for a double on the ground floor next door. Room for our bikes in the corridor, helpful. Recently redecorated, bit odd, bit damp. Spent half the night escaping mosquitos which were trying to eat me alive. Breakfast was juice & coffee, no refills offered. 2 oven-baked rolls each, 1 slice ham, 1 slice cheese. Bit thin for a day's cycling ahead, had been used to much better elsewhere in NL. Owner hovered over us then shuffled around, checking if we'd finished every few minutes. Probably wouldn't go back, try our luck at the BW and hope for a decent breakfast.
