Usually if you find a place with 5 stars on Google Maps it’s fake reviews - but Lightship Amsterdam is really an exception here! Stunning rooms, amazing host, super flexible and forthcoming. Will definitely come back here and recommend this place to everyone who values a unique, cozy, clean stay. It’s not in the city centre but by walking and the free ferry you are in the center within 30 mins

Lovely place to stay, room was amazing and really felt like you were sleeping in a ship with all the glass surround.
Alex the host was very nice and helpful, there wasn't anything he wouldn't do if asked him.
Breakfast is the morning onto of the shops deck was amazing.
Light ship was a 15min walk from train station went you get off the free ferry.
I would recommend staying here .

Wir waren eine Gruppe von vier Personen, zwei Pärchen, und für vier Nächte Gäste auf dem Lightship. Die Unterkunft ist absolut fantastisch, sehr gepflegt und der Service hervorragend. Während unseres Aufenthalts war der Gastgeber selbst im Urlaub, und seinen Teil des Schiffs haben ein befreundetes Ehepaar bewohnt, die sich um das Schiff und uns als Gäste gekümmert haben. Die beiden waren als Gastgeber unglaublich freundlich, sympathisch, herzlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns die fünf Tage super wohl und wie zu Hause gefühlt. es gab ein super liebevoll zubereitetes kleines Frühstück, mit allem, was man sich wünscht: genau auf den Punkt richtig. Die Lage des Schiffs ist etwas abseits von der Fähre und Bahnhof und Altstadt, es empfiehlt sich, Fahrräder zu mieten. Dann ist die Entfernung kein Problem, sondern wird zum Erlebnis und bereichert die Reise. Im Norden, wo das Schiff liegt, ist es sehr ruhig und innerhalb weniger Minuten ist man mit dem Fahrrad am Hauptbahnhof und mitten im Leben.|Wir haben den Urlaub dort sehr genossen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen

Really special hotel - absolutely stunning inside - real luxury. Breakfast was one of the best I've had. Fridge stocked with nibbles, bubbly, wines and beer. Great experience. Huge comfy bed. 15ish minute walk to train strain in one direction and free ferry in the other. So close to attractions but far enough away that it was nice and quiet. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I honestly cannot rate this place highly enough. The location is quiet and peaceful,whilst being a short car/bike ride from the centre, but the location is within walking distance and through some lovely neighbourhoods.

The rooms were pristine, lovely soft beds and pillows, lots of towels and dressing gowns, tables and chairs (inside and on deck). Huge amounts of space and a TV with internet access and modern apps.

WiFi included, never had issues or slow down.

Alex is an amazing host. Could not do enough for us and prepared breakfast at our time of choosing with a great selection of fresh food.

Highly rated, you will struggle to find a location as unique and a host as great.

I think it's incredibly beautiful. I took my shoes off and sat down just looking at it for about 30 minutes. Nobody bothered me, and I just took it all in.

What a wonderful start to our trip in Amsterdam! We stayed in the Machinery Room and found the space soothing, comfortable, and well appointed. When we needed an extension cord, it was readily provided. The couple who own the boat are kind and helpful and provide a terrific breakfast each morning, dropped off at the room at your convenience. The neighborhood is a little outside of central Amsterdam, but has plenty of interesting restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!
