We hebben zo’n 6 jaar geleden via Expatdesk een appartement gevonden en daar tot voor kort gewoond. Tijdens deze tijd was het contact met Expatdesk altijd prettig. Onze vragen/verzoeken werden snel beantwoord en indien nodig snel opgelost. De eindkeuring was realistisch: na zes jaar bewoning zijn er natuurlijk tekenen van ”slijtage door normaal gebruik” en dit werd dan ook niet in rekening gebracht. De volledige borg is snel aan ons geretourneerd. Mochten we weer in Nijmegen gaan huren dan is Expatdesk de eerste die we bellen.

PAS OP!
Prima communicatie vooraf, maar nadat het huurcontract is getekend uiterst onbetrouwbaar.
Expatdesk lijkt met name zoveel mogelijk geld uit de zak van de huurder te willen kloppen door de borg niet terug te betalen; niet bereikbaar per telefoon, bijkomende kosten voor schoonmaak en reparatie worden verzonnen, slechte "inspectierapporten", continue vertragen etc.
Firma list en bedrog!

Mocht u toch gebruik moeten maken van dit bedrijfje, dan goed opletten bij ingebruikname en oplevering van het gehuurde. Zelf alles vastleggen via foto's en email anders krijgt u uw borg niet terug.
Ik heb uiteindelijk mijn rechtsbijstand moeten inschakelen (via hen de resterende borg terug gekregen) en zal nog een klacht indienen bij de gemeente.

De service, voorlichting, begeleiding bij het hele verhuurproces was heel prettig, helder en duidelijk en alle ruimte om over alles te praten. Ook de zorgvuldigheid valt op in het hele proces voor de verhuur, tijdens de verhuur en de afhandeling. De begeleiding bij de contractopstelling en afhandeling was heel zorgvuldig en hebben we als heel fijn ervaren. In alle drukte die het geregel, naast de verhuur van het eigen huis vraagt, van een sabbatical vraagt was het geruststellend en vertrouwenwekkend dat de verhuur in goede handen was.

Om een jaar weg te kunnen op de fiets, hadden we Expatdesk ingehuurd om ons huis te verhuren. De expertise en zorgvuldigheid van dit buro heeft ervoor gezorgd, dat wij zorgeloos weg konden zijn. Vooral de sympathieke en deskundige eigenaar, maakte dit mogelijk. Ook in de afronding (nabespreking) bleek de zorg voor een goede afwikkeling. Dit buro is zeker een aanrader.

We had a great experience renting an apartment with Expatdesk Nijmegen. We haven't had any problems in a year and a half. The staff at Expatdesk Nijmegen were always friendly and responded to our emails and calls. Handing over the keys to the apartment was easy and without any problems. We left the apartment clean. The deposit was returned to us without any questions after two weeks as agreed. We can highly recommend Expatdesk Nijmegen. And if we ever need an apartment again, we will be happy to contact them one more time.

Tardy replies, if any. After no email replies from this company, I decided to visit them at the office, only to be turned away and told to please express interest online for the particular listing. Well, I did just that on a fresh listing(pretty sure of that, because I was refreshing every couple of minutes) and only to receive one reply back 3 weeks later.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend expat desk Nijmegen. The initial contact with Expat Desk and move-in were very positive experiences. The move out, however, was quite the opposite. The move-out inspection lasted about 30 minutes and I was told everything was in good order. I received a signed move-out document stating that everything was OK, no further comments. Six days later I received a long list of things that were not in order, yet were somehow ‘missed’ during the inspection. I would receive a significant bill to cover costs. I responded by email the same day offering to cover some costs, yet disagreeing with most and noting that I received a check out document stating that everything was fine. I did not receive a response for 3 weeks, despite two follow-up emails (it was impossible to reach expat desk by phone). Communication restarted after 3 weeks, and after several emails back and forth, expat desk agreed to return most of the deposit. Despite asking, I did not receive a receipt for the costs that were deducted. In my experience Expat Desk was very nice and accommodating during move in, yet upon move out, I got the impression that the strategy was to deduct as much as possible from the deposit. Communication about this was very difficult because of unanswered emails and the phone never being answered. In the end the deposit was returned, yet it was a painful exercise to get there.
