Overall, the property was truly lovely. We had a wonderful stay at Berly-Fleur, enjoying the peace and quiet of the charming countryside in Venray. The large backyard was a real highlight—it featured a serene pond, a trampoline, a small farm, a spacious outdoor dining area, and two adorable animals (a very friendly donkey and a rather shy pony), which made the experience even more unique and memorable.

The house itself was clean and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches and unique decor throughout. It was well-stocked with all the necessary amenities for cooking and cleaning, which we really appreciated.

One aspect we felt could be improved was the breakfast. While it was a nice idea, we found it slightly overpriced as the quantity provided was limited (to the amount of people. Eg. 5 eggs/ ham = 5 people). It was also a bit disappointing to be asked to return the cheese that had been included in the breakfast, or alternatively purchase it at full price—this felt a little unexpected and took away from the otherwise generous hospitality.

Additionally, we did feel our privacy was disrupted at one point when the host entered the house unexpectedly without informing us beforehand. While we understand hosts may occasionally need to access the property, prior notice would have been appreciated to avoid any discomfort.

That said, our host Liny was warm, helpful, and kind, and we appreciated her efforts to make our stay comfortable.

Our stay was overall very nice, and the place itself was beautiful. However, the experience was somewhat overshadowed by an uncomfortable interaction.

We paid $170 for meals that Liny prepared for us. After the first breakfast, the hosts promptly cleared all the dishes and utensils, which we appreciated. But after dinner the following day, the situation was quite different—the dishes were left untouched in our space. Since the meals were prepared elsewhere and we were paying for the service, we assumed cleanup would be included.

We’ve stayed at dozens of B&Bs over the years, and we’ve never once been asked to clean up dishes or utensils used for a meal that someone else prepared and we paid for—this was a first.

By 9 p.m., we texted them to ask what they wanted to do with the dishes. Liny responded that we should clean and wash them ourselves. It felt a bit unexpected, but we told ourselves we’d just take care of it in the morning.

We had arranged breakfast for 8:30 a.m. and, after a sleepless night with our baby, we woke up early and came downstairs at 8 a.m. to clean up—only to find that the dishes had already been cleared. It felt intrusive that they entered our space without asking, especially since we were guests and privacy matters. We apologized for not getting to it sooner and explained the rough night we had.

Still, we were met with a remark along the lines of, “Why didn’t you do it yesterday?” That comment really left a bitter taste. We've also never been criticized for not doing dishes "on time" in any other rental we've stayed in.

Maybe there was some tension from the baby crying during the night—we don’t know. The kids had a great time, and there were many good moments, but unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad met onze kinderen (2,5+5 jaar). We dachten vooraf veel uitjes te gaan maken maar de kinderen vermaakten zich zo goed met de skelters, schommel en bakstenen 🙂 Met die laatste werd een heel bouwwerk gemaakt, enthousiast begeleid door de eigenaren. Dus geen uitjes gemaakt maar heerlijk kunnen relaxen terwijl de kinderen zich zo goed vermaakten. Het is mooie en fijne plek om tot rust te komen. Liny en Bert bedankt!

What wonderful place, we have been here for a few nights and we enjoyed every moment of it. The garden was very very pretty with lots of nice spots to sit in the sun or shade. They had a little kitten running around wich was a lot of fun. The duck, donkey, pony and chickens made it complete. The breakfast they served was perfect, and also possible to just get a bread wich was perfect! The hostess was very sweet and helped us with every question we had, and she suggested a great place to eat

Heel grappig huisje, prachtige tuin. Fijne eigenaar, meer dan voldoende privacy! De omgeving Venray is niet echt mijn ding, maar wij zijn gewoon op het terrein gebleven en hebben ons er heel goed vermaakt.

Al meerdere keren geweest, vinden het hier heerlijk, het is een beetje gedateerd links en rechts, maar brandschoon. Host is super aardig en behulpzaam. Tip: huur de Hottub erbij, dat is echt heerlijk en in een prachtig omgeving.

Bert en Liny, wat hebben wij ontzettend genoten. Heerlijke rust en ruimte met een weldaad aan fantastisch vogel geluid. Ook de jongens vonden het heerlijk met de diertjes en alle speel toebehoren. Bedankt voor jullie warme gastvrijheid! Groet uit Ommen

Super nette Gastgeber, wunderschöner Garten, viele Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder. Die Nähe zu den Tieren hat uns besonders gefallen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
