So a full year later, and I feel we’ve had time to reflect. We originally met with and signed our contract with Cynthia. Subsequently she sold the business which was totally her choice. We weren’t told about the change in management after signing the contract and before the tasting. We showed up to the tasting with a new owner and a new vibe. We then got assigned a new coordinator who we worked with for a few weeks before she quit or was asked to leave. Leading into our event, we had a new coordinator, and we had assurances that things would be up to expectation. On the day of the event, the owner supposed to show up to supervise given some of the changes but was sick (valid). However, his wife showed up and was just a distracting presence that didn’t seem to make things better. The cooking staff was great and the serving staff was professional, but they missed serving an entire table and had to refire for serving. Subsequently, the staff ate all of the staff meals we had for our planner and her crew, our photographers, and our DJ. I would highly recommend Chef Ruby and her crew because the food was really good. But I would never recommend the business more broadly because we felt like we didn’t get the service we paid for.

Bottom line: Our experience was a year ago so things may have changed. Chef Ruby and her kitchen staff made delicious meals and passed appetizers. The serving staff was professional. Our biggest gripe was management. We didn’t get what we paid for, bar none.

Cape Creations made my son's SCAD graduation celebration wonderful. I planned the food long distance, from Virginia, with Tahlor and it was spectacular. All the menu item were perfect. Highlights were the Salmon, collards, green beans, special sauces and the CUPCAKES were adorable and delicious! Thank you to tge whole team!!!!!

My wife and I were hosting a 90th birthday party for my wife's mother in our home. We had 39 people on the plans and knew we needed to reach out to someone. From our first interaction with Cape Creations, the menu planning, time concerns and the final delivery and set up, we are so glad we found them !!! They made it so very easy for us!! We had 3 entrees and 4 sides!! All of our guests were constantly complimenting the choices and how great it all tasted !!! Kudo's to Cape Creations !! Will use them again, when the need presents itself!!

My husband and I hired Cape Creations to Cater our wedding this past weekend and everything about working with them was truly phenomenal. Because we are not from Savannah we ended up choosing them without having a tasting because of how good our experience was with Cynthia. The process of working with them was seamless. Because I planned my own wedding, I had the pleasure of working directly with Shawntai and Cynthia and they were truly amazing. They worked with our rental company as well to coordinate what was needed and that made it so easy. The food was PHENOMENAL and I cannot say enough about it. We did a southern themed menu with shrimp and grits, BLT biscuits and watermelon feta squares as appetizers. The mac n cheese, brussels, chicken and the beef brisket for dinner were truly out of this world! They even made a basket of food for us after the wedding to have at our hotel. Everyone kept saying that was the best beef brisket they had ever had and that is the truth! You cannot go wrong with choosing them for your day. If I ever host another event in Savannah, I will be choosing them for sure! Thank you so much for making our day perfect!

We hired Cape Creations for my daughter’s wedding on the recommendation of our wedding planner, Love Actually Wedding & Events. Best decision ever! Cynthia is simply a genius with food! Our guests raved about everything from the
hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour to the main course. The wedding was almost 3 months ago and our guests are still talking about it. Not only delicious food but beautifully and artfully presented as well. We described our vision to Cynthia, which was basically for the food to reflect quintessential Savannah, and she DELIVERED. Additionally, Cynthia’s staff were professional, unobtrusive and friendly. The meal was orchestrated perfectly so that everyone received each course at roughly the same time. (I’ve been to weddings where some tables are eating dessert while other tables are still being served the
entrée!) If you’re holding an event in the Savannah area, you will not go wrong hiring Cape Creations to cater. Your guests will love you for it!
