Just spent a few days in Amsterdam, greatly enhanced by staying on the Houseboat under the Mill. Wonderful to have a little home from home to yourself, with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and every facility you could want. Warm and cosy in the pretty awful weather we experienced, with a delightful view of the canal from the window, and visiting swans, ducks, moorhen and grebes. Delightful, helpful owners. A quiet, tranquil, peaceful place, but a short walk from very frequent buses and trams which will take you anywhere in Amsterdam you wish to go - we bought a four day pass. However, there are a supermarket and other local shops and restaurants close by. Would be easy to reach from the airport by train and bus, but we took advantage of the owners' kind offer to meet us and take us back to the airport for a reasonable charge. Overall, very much to be recommended

Ho prenotato questa struttura tramite Booking.com molti mesi prima del viaggio, avendo letto che era molto "gettonata" e non volendo perdere l'opportunità di soggiornare ad Amsterdam in una "classica" houseboat, oltretutto con la particolarità di trovarsi praticamente...sotto un vecchio mulino, credo uno dei pochi che ancora esistano in città. Fin dall'inizio la comunicazione a distanza con i proprietari (in particolare la gentilissima sig.a Liesbeth) è stata cordiale ed efficace, la signora Liesbeth fra l'altro si è dimostrata prodiga di consigli (sull'opportunità di comprare anticipatamente il biglietto per il museo di Anna Frank, sulla strada da percorrere per arrivare alla houseboat giungendo dalla Germania, etc.). La casa galleggiante si trova vicino a Westerpark, a circa 2 / 3 km dal centro città, in una zona verdeggiante e molto tranquilla. Si può arrivare in centro anche a piedi, volendo (l'abbiamo fatto il primo giorno...è un po' lunga ma si può fare), altrimenti vicino alla houseboat si trovano la fermata del bus 21, che porta alla Stazione Centrale, o del tram 10, che conduce a Museumplein; entrambi passano ogni 10/15 minuti. La houseboat si trova proprio dietro l'abitazione dei proprietari, vicino ad un parcheggio non custodito, all'aperto (che costa 9 euro al giorno, quindi conveniente), ed è collocata direttamente sull'acqua...viverci, anche se per pochi giorni, è un'esperienza particolare e bellissima, in mezzo alla natura, lontano dai rumori quotidiani, con l'unica compagnia costante di anatre e cigni...L'houseboat non è grandissima, forse una 40ina di mq, ma ha tutto: una camera da letto con armadio, un piccolo bagno, un cucinotto attrezzato e una sala con divano e divano letto. I proprietari ci hanno rifornito di caffè, thè e si sono spesso preoccupati di sapere se tutto andava bene, oltre a cambiare gli asciugamani due volte in sette giorni (la biancheria era inclusa). Abbiamo fatto sempre colazione nella houseboat, approfittando del fatto che a meno di un km c'è un attrezzatissimo supermercato, avremmo potuto anche cenare lì, ma abbiamo preferito mangiare fuori. Questo per dire che la casa galleggiante ha le comodità di un appartamento (piccolo), ma il pregio di farti sentire in un mondo diverso...Dimenticavo, il wi-fi è gratuito e funziona perfettamente. Il costo, per sette notti, comprensivo anche del parcheggio, è stato di circa 1300 euro...non pochissimo, certo, ma consideriamo che siamo ad Amsterdam, dove tutto è caro, e poi eravamo in quattro...Per me il prezzo è giusto, quindi. Un'esperienza stupenda che ripeterei volentieri e che consiglio a tutti...Luca

Die Inneneinrichtung ist eher einfach gehalten, erfüllt aber voll und ganz ihren Zweck. In der Küche findet man alles was man so braucht. Die Dusche ist etwas klein, aber ansonsten hat man überall ausreichend Platz.||||Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig, auch tagsüber gibt es kaum Lärm. Die Gastgeber sprechen perfekt deutsch und stehen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.||||Die nächste Busstation ist etwa 5 Minuten entfernt, die beiden Straßenbahnlinien etwa 10 Minuten. Die Fahrt ins Stadtzentrum dauert dann 10-15 Minuten. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt, Bäcker) sowie Gastronomie finden sich in direkter Umgebung und haben von Mo-So geöffnet.

This houseboat is just outside the city centre of Amsterdam, with easily accessible bus route that takes 12 mins into the city. The houseboat itself is warm and comfortable, with everything that you could possibly need. Everything was immaculately clean, beds are super comfortable, there is tv, dvd (with some dvds) free wifi, lots of info on local area and things to do. The owners are just the loveliest people you could ever meet and nothing is too much bother. A airport transfer service is available for 30 Euro and I would highly recommend this to first time visitors, not only does it get you to your accommodation, quickly and easily, it allows you to get your bearings so that you can go off and explore. Local supermarket is a 10 min walk, local garage on doorstep that offers fresh rolls in the morning, plus the usual sweets and treats. Every morning the local ducks and swans will even come and visit for a bit of breakfast. The housboat for us was the perfect location, away from the craziness that can be Amsterdam City . Can' t fault this at all and will definitely return for another visit.

We had 5 days at the Houseboat in April 2016 and really loved the setting - the Houseboat is at the end of a canal and is very peaceful with a view down the canal and just swans, coots and mallards for company!||The Houseboat is very well equipped and comfortable and situated on the west of the centre of Amsterdam, but only 12 minutes away by bus. There is a lovely park across the main road - the Westergasfabriek Culture Park with plenty of paths to explore, cafes and streams.||There are handy bus and tram routes into the centre and links to the Metro, boats and the station. The free maps from the Information Centre show where the main museums, shopping areas and good pubs are situated within walking or transport distances.||The hosts - Liesbeth and Fred are lovely - very helpful for where the local shops and a good cafe are to be found and have plenty of guides and money off coupons on the houseboat.with guides and maps, books about local museums, crafts and places of interest.

Тихое, симпатичное и спокойное место, вдали от городской суеты. Довольно комфорто и уютно жить. Вид из лодки - замечательный. Отлично оборудованная кухня - есть даже блендер и кофе-машина. Очень удобно, если вы любите или имеете необходимость готовить в поездке сами. В 10 минутах от отеля есть большой супер-маркет, где можно купить в том числе и свежую рыбу или мясо. Там же есть несколько мест, где можно перекусить. Второй супер-маркет расположен в 3 автобусных остановках от отеля. Автобусная остановка, откуда вы можете добраться до Центрального вокзала (самый центр города) - в 5 минутах ходьбы. Ехать минут 10, автобусы ходят каждые 10-15 минут до самого позднего вечера. Так что добраться до центра - не проблема. ||||Из минусов (крайне слабеньких) - зимой в ванной было немного холодно, плюс вода иногда непредсказуемо меняла температуру - то шла горячая, то холодная. В общем, закалялись :))) Я так понимаю, это просто особенность подобного вида жилья. Отдых эти нюансы абсолютно не испортили.

I've Stayed in the lovely house boat for a nice weekend. It was near the Westerpark and the center was easily accessible by public transport. Better is to rent a bicycle, it is so easy to ride through Amsterdam by bike!||The host where very friendly and helpfull. thank you for everything!
