Het kwam toevallig voorbij op internet. De mogelijkheid om te overnachten op een privé-jacht. Ook nog een jacht dat ooit van Maria Callas was en waar alle wereldsterren wel eens hebben overnacht. Het jacht is ook een klein museum van boeken, foto's en platen van Maria Callas. De inrichting is uiteraard ook helemaal in de sfeer van toen.||We werden uiterst vriendelijk welkom geheten en kregen prima uitleg van de mogelijkheden door een aardige stewardess. Heerlijk geslapen en 's morgens kwam kapitein Willem hoogstpersoonlijk het ontbijt klaarmaken aan boord. Ook dat was uitgebreid en prima. Natuurlijk met de mooie stem van Maria Callas op de achtergrond.||Echt fantastische mensen en we hopen bij een toekomstig bezoek aan Rotterdam nog eens hier te kunnen overnachten.

Het was een hele tragische familie, die Onassissen. Grieken. Ontzettend vermogend geworden in de rederij, maar verder veel kommer en kwel. Alle bekende types zijn dood, van Ari tot Maria ( Callas) Jacqueline (Kennedy), de zoon en Christina zelve.
Ik heb over dit Yachthotel eens via de TV een indruk gekregen in een uitzending van Omroep MAX over B&B's.
Als je van buiten Rotterdam komt is het vast heel leuk om daar te logeren.

Slapen op een boot heeft iets aparts, maar hier helemaal met de historie van het jacht. Daarnaast is het best wel prive. Het ligt er rustig. Je kan er gezellig van een drankje genieten.||Willem, de eigenaar maakt het verhaal compleet. Wat een vent ! ||Alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd en er komt nog meer aan ! Ik kom terug dat is zeker.

Geweldig jacht om een nachtje op te slapen! Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel, goede service en de inrichting van de boot is werkelijk fantastisch! We voelden ons bijna filmsterren, zo werden we in de watten gelegd. Een aanrader voor iedereen!!!!

This was without any doubts the best hotel experience ever, and believe me, I’ve travelled a lot ..||From pick up at the airport by the most lovely man in white officers uniform until goodbye the next day. Goodbye, but not farewell because we will come again as soon as possible to enjoy more time on board this fantastic yacht.||The owner, a fantastic host, gave us so much information and was so nice and helpful. This is service!||Upon arrival I discovered the accommodation is even more beautiful than any picture can show. We enjoyed a romantic lunch that couldn’t taste any better. After lunch time for a siesta in the most romantic and comfortable bed, were so many celebrities have slept… quiet a special feeling.||We had plans for the night, but we didn’t want to go out anymore, we just wanted to stay on board and enjoy. The yacht is so beautiful and has everything you need. TV’S, DVD, Minibar (with very reasonable prices), good Wi-Fi and of course music and books about Maria Callas and Onassis. So we took the water taxi, at 200m from the yacht, to the nostalgic New York restaurant and went for a quick and nice diner. We skipped the concert and went straight to our yacht again to continue a romantic evening. ||Early wake up with a very tasteful and extensive breakfast on the heated deck served by our charming host in uniform and transfer back.||Time was too short. Can’t wait to return to this jewel!

Long story. I booked the Maria Callas in 4 months prior to our stay. I had an email of confirmation from both Hotels.com and the owner. Two days before we were due to stay I emailed the owner who claimed to have never confirmed the booking. I contacted Hotels.com GOLD support who in this occasion were just appalling. He genuinely struggled with the concept that the owner could have changed his mind and gone with a bigger party than just us three and was effectively saying I cancelled it. Anyways I kept my calm and approached the owner with an alternative. He did have an alternative boat, the Dutchyacht hotel and arranged that for the night for myself and my two teenage boys. We loved it, very relaxing, opposite some great restaurants. Thank you to Willam for letting us stay at such short notice, we had a great evening as a result! Avoid booking this through hotels.com though is my advice. Thanks

The hotel is actually on a yacht in a Marina in Rotterdam. It is well located and you can easily park your car nearby.||||The yacht is beautifully decorated and it is just like a museum for Maria Callas.||We enjoyed the stay as well as the stunningly set breakfast. ||||Some cons:||||You will need to make sure you communicate with the owner well about arrival time & checkout time. We almost got cancelled the day before we arrived there just because we said we might leave early and the owner sent 6 emails saying We arrive late and leave early which is not suitable for the yacht stay (what is the logic?!) and I didnt reply in time so they would cancel, I was outside with no email access how can I reply? A cancellation from owner's side without notice was unfair to customers.||||Besides, the owner cleaned the room while we had breakfast which seemed to be a bit intrusive to a tranquil breakfast. I wish we could have more time to our own.||||Last, the wifi doesn't work at all!

We stayed here for one night and just loved it - couldn't recommend it highly enough and it is better than the pictures!! Superb location with car parking close by, the yacht is stunning inside and the history and number of celebrities who stayed here or used it makes it even more fascinating.||We could have lounged around all day in the sun at the front of the yacht watching the comings and goings.||It has everything on board you could need and is so comfortable, a well stocked mini-bar with unbelievably reasonable prices is the icing on the cake.||A great night's sleep in the comfortable bed and next morning we had breakfast served on board which was wonderful.||Just loved our stay on board, would definitely come back and couldn't recommend highly enough.
