Wat een heerlijke plek om te verblijven tijdens je bezoek aan Amsterdam! Sézane’s Lodges ligt ideaal in het Museumkwartier, op een steenworp afstand van het Van Gogh Museum, het Rijksmuseum en het Concertgebouw. De sfeer is persoonlijk en huiselijk, in een charmant historisch Amsterdams pand dat je meteen welkom laat voelen. De gastvrouw, Dina‑Perla, is ongelooflijk vriendelijk en attent. Ze maakte ons verblijf bijzonder aangenaam met haar warme verwelkoming en behulpzame tips . Haar hondje Pommie voegde een extra dosis gezelligheid toe hij begroette ons enthousiasmevol elke ochtend. Wat dit verblijf echt bijzonder maakte: Dina-Perla kent de stad op haar duimpje en gaf ons insider tips over leuke plekjes in Amsterdam die niet in de toeristische gidsen staan. Denk aan verborgen hofjes, knusse buurtcafés en lokale favorieten waar bijna geen toeristen komen: ze liet ons de stad zien zoals alleen een Amsterdammer dat kan.||De kamers en gedeelde ruimtes waren schoon en netjes verzorgd dat ondanks dat sommige faciliteiten gedeeld zijn, voelde het nooit onpersoonlijk; het heeft onze planning op geen enkel moment beperkt.||Kortom: als je op zoek bent naar een charmante, rustige en comfortabel plek met een hartelijke gastvrouw en een vleugje lokale authenticiteit, dan is Sézane’s Lodges dé keuze. Een aanrader voor iedereen die Amsterdam graag als een insider wil ervaren!

Ich kann die positiven Bewertungen hier überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Ich werde hier defintiv nicht mehr übernachten!||Mein Zimmer war sehr klein und nur spärlich ausgestattet. es hat auch schlecht gerochen. Dieser Geruch kam vermutlich von Handtuch und Bettwäsche, die zwar einen sauberen Eindruck machten, aver dennoch nicht frisch rochen. ||Die Toilette ist winzig klein (ca. 1 Quadratmeter). Toilette und Bad werden mit allen anderen im Haus geteilt, da es kein Hotel, sondern ein "shared home" ist. ||Zusätzlich zum Zimmerpreis kommen noch lokale Steuern und eine Reinigungsgebühr in Höhe von 35€ (unabhängig von der Zahl der Übernachtungen) dazu, die in bar gezahlt werden müssen. Auch das Sicherheitsdeposit in Höhe von 300€ muss vor Ort in BAR gezahlt werden (wer trägt soviel Bargeld mit sich rum?). ||Es gibt viele Vorschriften (Schuhe ausziehen etc.). ||Insgesamt war es einfach keine gute Erfahrung.

Als geboren Rotterdammer kom ik niet zo snel in vervoering van de hoofdstad. Maar na een verblijf bij Sézane’s Lodges moet ik eerlijk bekennen: Amsterdam heeft mijn hart gestolen en dat is volledig te danken aan de gastvrijheid van Sézane.

Vanaf het moment dat ik binnenstapte, voelde ik me geen toerist, maar een welkom geziene gast. Sézane is een geweldige gastvrouw: warm, attent en met een aanstekelijk enthousiasme voor haar stad. Ze nam alle tijd om me te wijzen op verborgen pareltjes in Amsterdam plekjes waar je als niet-Amsterdammer nooit zou komen. Geen clichés of massa’s toeristen, maar intieme hofjes, bijzondere winkels en fijne eettentjes waar je de echte stad leert kennen.

En dan haar hondje! Een guitige kleine viervoeter die vrolijk door het huis dartelt en voor een extra huiselijke sfeer zorgt. Zelfs als je alleen reist, voelt het hier nooit eenzaam.

De locatie van Sézane’s Lodges is perfect midden in het Museumkwartier, maar toch rustig. De kamer was keurig, schoon en comfortabel. Alles straalt hier persoonlijke aandacht uit. Geen onpersoonlijk hotelgevoel, maar een thuis. En geloof me: als een Rotterdammer zich in Amsterdam thuis voelt, dan zegt dat wat.

Dankzij Sézane heb ik Amsterdam op een heel andere manier leren kennen. Niet als drukke, arrogante stad, maar als een plek vol charme, geschiedenis en oprechte gastvrijheid. En dat zeg ik niet snel.

Kortom: ik kwam als Rotterdammer, ik verbleef als gast en ik vertrok als een beetje Amsterdammer.

The place was fantastic. The room was clean, the location is close to all amenities and the host was wonderful! Nothing more you can ask for!

Amazing property, beautiful and helpful hostess Sezane and her welcoming Pommie. Fantastic location and value for money. Clean and spacious room, superb views, wonderful lounge and dining area too. So fantastic. I’ll definitely return to this awesome property and Amsterdam and its surrounding areas again as there’s so much to see and do, especially in and from this location!|I loved the theatre across the road, blessed to see a superb performance by the Netherlands philharmonic orchestra, choir and opera singers with a passionate conductor. The local supermarket was fantastic value and everywhere there were eateries, parks and museums….Enjoy!

I had an amazing stay as a solo female traveler in Amsterdam. She is a friendly and helpful host, with local recommendations and clear communication about what to know when staying in her home. Everything was extremely clean. It is a very old house which makes it quite charming. The room I stayed in looks exactly like the photos, and the location is perfect. Right next to all the museums and Vondelpark. It’s a beautiful neighborhood with lots of things around but feels calm. And it is very easy to get into the city center by tram or bus! Highly recommend staying with Sézane 🙂

What's there not to love? The location is fantastic, being located in very close proximity to the Museumplein, giving you great access to the Rijksmueum, Van Gogh museum, and 2 modern art museums. In addition, there are two transit stations located nearby, as well as a variety of restaurants catering to different cuisines and a luggage storage rental location. It is amazing value for what you are getting!||The house was indeed as advertised and the host is fair and forthcoming regarding the building. The host was very attentive to the needs of guests and very accommodating, as well as offering very good suggestions regarding places to visit. Towels, additional blankets, and personal items like soap were available upon request.
