Sono stato in questa struttura per 4 mesi. L’ho scelta poiché non avevo trovato altre alternative. La stanza è comoda, piccola ma con tutto il necessario. Per il resto gli spazi comuni sono sempre sporchi, con parti rotte e non funzionanti (e lo studentato ha solo 1 anno). La struttura è in una area industriale, quindi un po’ distante dal centro. Il negozio di alimentari più vicino è a 10 minuti in bici. La fermata del bus (3,4 o 86) è a 5 minuti a piedi.
Pro:
- Palestra 24/7 nuova
- Personale della lobby gentile
- Stanza singola
- La lobby e il ristorante sono molto belli, con PlayStation e altri giochi da fare in compagnia
Contro:
- Troppo costoso per il servizio che ti danno
- Spazi comuni freddi, sporchi, rotti e mal gestiti
- I gestori del posto non risolvono i problemi, ma semplicemente aumentano le responsabilità degli ospiti
Conclusione:
Andateci solo se non trovate altre alternative.

If you have to live here without any alternative choice, just rent for one month (and extend your contract one month after another if necessary). So you will not suffer too much loss when you are desperate to move out.

1.During my stay, packages, when delivered, were put on a table and were not attended till noon (thought there would be at least a security camera, but no, and not a surprise, your package (only expensive ones, unfortunately) might disappear);

2. Common kitchens were a junkyard, and didn't matter how carefully you cleaned, the same dirty level next day;

3. Super noisy, and party all the time regardless of the problematic covid situation, some common corridors smell weeds all the time;

4.unwanted visitors to your room, but they only took, well, not very expensive items (I still could not figure out why someone would take my pillow but not my laptop, this might prove that laptop security lock does work).

So if you can live with that, then I have nothing to say. Oh, to add on, they didn't return any money, even if you move out months earlier and inform them months earlier.

In short, dirty, noisy, insecure.

Service was friendly and seemingly reachable, and they always felt sorry for you and would, of course, raise issues in an internal conference like it would cover your loss.

Pay attention, Low sleeping quality harms health, and unhappiness can linger around for a while even after moving out.

Figure 1 (bathroom mold): To be fair, they cleaned it up a few days later UPON REQUEST...
Figure 2 (kitchen), to be fair, I would call this a slightly above average clean level.

TLDR: Rent is not justified at all. Renting month to month recommended to search for another place from here.

The price of more than 500 euros per month is audacious, if it was 300-350 it would be more adequate and worth recommending since there is a permanent shortage of accommodation in Groningen (student housing crisis).
The rooms are quite nice, with own fridge and practical furniture that fills the room nicely. Only the curtains are not very effective in darkening the room.
Apart from the own room:
First impression is shabby, as the student accommodation is a formation of three blocks of stapled ship containers. Facilities like kitchen and bathrooms turn out to be shabby. It's about how you'd imagine a provisional refugee shelter. Occasional mold, zero noise isolation (between rooms it always seemed isolated but not towards the hallway or yard).
If you are social you'll be able to find many friends here, while I was there a lot of parties happened and it's impossible to not interact with others. It's mostly first year bachelor students.

Definitely not worth the money but thats pretty obvious. None of the rules stated in the contract are enforced or in any way relevant for living here. It's loud a lot of the time especially on weekends the entire night... The kitchens are horrible and cleaning them keeps them clean for no longer than a day. The showers are disgusting. The toilets are tiny and uncomfortable. The room itself is not that bad. There is a heater that actually works and a small fridge. There are washers and dryers that cost MONEY and I mean 6 Euro for one load of clothes. The bed is surprisingly comfortable and the table can be extended. It's doable for a bit and
definitely better than being homeless but not much more.
